Situated on a small hill on the outskirts of the beautiful and picturesque town of Vamos, Tylor offers self-catering accommodation in a traditional setting. Part of a complex, built entirely of stone and wood and set in an area of 1500 square meters, it looks as if it was an integral part of the surroundings. With love, taste and style it combines the old and the new to offer you a comfortable stay. Whats more, the wonderful architecture, the well cared-for surroundings and the quiet location guarantee peace and relaxation.And for those who want to tour around a bit, there are many interesting destinations to the east, west and south that can be reached easily and quickly from here.

Tylor traditional house is a two-storey house, with an area of 120 square meters and a shared pool and BBQ. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with fitted appliances and all the necessary cooking utensils, the dining room, bathroom, the living room, and a bedroom with a double bed, as well as verandas. An impressive stone staircase leads upstairs where there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, and the other with two singles, balconies and a bathroom with a bathtub and washing machine. Each building has central heating, a fireplace, unlimited wireless Internet access, TV, DVD, a safe in each bedroom, furniture on all the balconies and verandas, and a parking space.

The house is built using natural materials (wood and stone) and the tiled roofs are insulated against heat. External window frames with screens and tilt mechanisms have been fitted to allow continuous ventilation. Thanks to this natural air conditioning system, the building is cool even on the hottest of summer days. Nevertheless, for supplementary cooling there are fans in all the bedrooms. The pool, which is 4m wide by 8m long and from 1.10m to 1.60m deep, is situated in the rear courtyard next to the BBQ and the lush green garden. Here guests can enjoy the water and the sunshine while admiring the view of the beautiful mountains. The large and shady area by the BBQ provides a space where breakfast, lunch or dinner can be enjoyed accompanied by the sounds of nature. And when night falls, the decorative lighting makes shadows that play with the light in a very impressive way. The rooms are cleaned, towels and bedlines changed every four nights of stay.

When you arrive, you will find all the necessary supplies for your basic needs (coffee, sugar, mineral water, juice, milk, toast, jam, butter, biscuits, fruit, eggs, ham, cheese and cake) have been provided in the kitchen to welcome you, along with a gift box containing raki (a Cretan distilled drink) and a bottle of wine.

Driving directions (from airport or sea port)

Arrival from Chania airport:

Leaving the airport turn left to the city of Chania. After the village Pithari (about 5 km from the airport) follow the circular road to SOUDA.

Follow the road to SOUDA until you arrive at the first traffic lights. There, turn right and after 150-200 metres stop at the left side of the road and turn carefully left following the direction to RETHYMNO

Pass under the bridge and turn to the national road according the sign.

Go on driving onto the national road for 12 km until the exit to the villages :ARMENI-KALIVES-VAMOS (there is a big traffic sign, that indicates the exit, as well as another one with the photo of xatheri villas, very easily recognizable).Follow the direction to Kalives and after 1 km turn right to Vamos according to the sign. Go on straight and after Tsivaras village you'll arrive at Vamos (The distance from Kalives is 8 km)

Keep on driving on the same road that passes through the village. You will see a pharmacy on your right, go on straight and you will see the schools on the same side of the road.

Follow a stone built wall that is after the school yard. There are pine trees inside the wall and a pine tree park opposite. At the point of the end of this wall, which is broken there, turn right and a little further where the road divides, turn left. The houses are the 3rd ones from the corner on your left.

Arrival from Heraklion airport:

Please beware that the speed restrictions vary along the National Road so keep watch for the signs indicating the speed limit. Traffic police with speed cameras are a regular sight between Heraklion and Rethymnon.

After having the car RESET YOUR KM CLOCK. With the airport building behind you, drive up to the traffic lights and straight over leaving the airport car park on your right. You will pass a sign reading Heraklion on your right. (0.2km). Turn right onto the slip road. (0.6km).Follow the signs to Rethymno and the National road E75.You are now on the National road the speed limit is 90km per hour. Continue on the National Road heading towards Rethymnon.

Driving on the national road, leave behind Rethymno and go on the direction to Chania. In the middle of the distance (35 km from Rethymno) follow the exit to the village of Vrises.

The shorter road that drives to Vamos is the one that passes from the monastery of Karidi. To find this road get into the village of Vrisses and at the pharmacy turn right. Pass through the center of the village, where all the shops are and continue straight ahead. A little further away, almost at the end of the village, you will see a bakery on your right. About 100-150 metres after that bakery there is a sign on your right to turn to Vamos.

Turn and follow the road. The monastery of Karidi is in the middle of the distance, but it's invisible from the road (you will see only a sign).Having driven about 4 km from Vrisses , you will arrive at a place where there are a lot of pine trees and the road divides. At that point there are some signs for oil stations e.t.c. and there is one for the villas and Vamos also. Turn left according to the signs. After one km, at the next pine tree park, there is a narrow road on your left and a sign for xatheri. Follow that road and a few metres further, at the next division turn left again. The houses are the 3rd ones from the corner on your left.

CANCELLATION FEES

The following charges apply in case of a cancellation:

Cancellations from 30 days to 16 days before arrival 50% from the total amount

Cancellations from 15 days to 8 days before arrival 75% from the total amount

Cancellations from 7 days to 1 day before arrival 100% from the total amount

For no show customers we charge 100 % of the total amount.

LIABILITY

All tenants are strongly recommended to take out their own travel and health insurance covering all members of their party. We regret that we are unable to accept any responsibility towards any insurance claims made by tenants for whatever cause. We do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for personal injury, accidents, loss, theft or damage to persons or personal effects, however caused.

We are not responsible for the loss of any personal objects of the tenants that will be left at the property after departure, even if we will try to find any forgotten objects.

In the event that our property suffers from water and electricity shortages and the property can be cut off without prior notice for varying periods of time, then the tenant should be patient as these situations are out of our control, even if we will do everything possible to avoid them.

CANCELLATION DUE TO MAJOR FORCE

We are not liable for any failure or delay in the performance of our obligations hereunder on account of Major Force i.e. strikes, shortages, riots, insurrection, fires, flood, storm, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental action, labor conditions, earthquakes or any other cause which is beyond the reasonable control. We have the right to cancel any booking in case that any of the previous mentioned happens. In such case the whole amount of rental will be refunded to the tenant.

TENANT LIABILITY

The tenant is responsible to ensure that the property is left in a reasonable condition of cleanliness and in the same condition of repair as upon arrival. Any excessive cleaning, loss or damage to the property, debts or charges incurred will be itemized and charged to the tenant. Tenants are required to act in a responsible manner at all times, and to act with respect towards other guests, neighbors and our staff. They must also not transfer furniture or objects without informing the property owner first. We reserve the absolute right to require any individual to vacate a property for disruptive behavior, in which case there would be no refund of any rental payment.

The tenant is hold responsible to pay for any damage caused or any loss during his stay at the property, noted after his check out, which has not been reported to us prior to his departure. Tenants agree that the terms herein are binding on them, their family members, heirs, successors, assigns, dependents and/or minors accompanying them and their legal representatives.

The tenant is responsible to ensure that children are not left unsupervised at any time during their stay in the accommodation and take extra care with balconies, swimming pool and other places. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at any time and all tenants have to take all necessary measures for their personal safety during their stay.

NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS

The total number of guests staying in the property may not exceed the number of sleeping places specified in the promotional material or the number entered on the face of this contract. We reserve the right to refuse entry or evict the entire party if the number of persons occupying a property exceeds the number stipulated in the contract.

EXTRA CHARGES

Every extra charge must be paid locally to us by the end of the rental. All payments for the extra charges must be in the local currency.

LATE ARRIVAL / EARLY DEPARTURE

The tenant must inform us for any delay on the arrival or any early departure. No refunds will be made, if the tenant is unable to arrive on the expected day due to travel problems or in any case of early departure.

COMPLAINTS / PROBLEMS

The tenant is responsible for informing us for any complaint or problem during his stay in our property and allow us a reasonable time to solve it during the rental period. Failure to do so will void any claim following the rental period.
