ARRIVAL FROM HERAKLION AIRPORT

-You leave the airport range towards South and the highway. Before the highway bridge, turn right and take the highway to Rethymnon (the sign points to "Iraklion").

-A bare hour later you will arrive to the Cape of Scaleta. The highway cuts through the cape's summit in a leftward bend, and the rocks on both sides form a gate.

Immediately afterwards opens on the right hand side the view down to the bay of Rethymnon with it's hotel suburbs and the 15 kms distant city with it's port and the fortress.

-After some kilometers, the highway becomes four-laned and ascends steeply, in order to bypass the city of Rethymnon. From several viaducts you can see the town center, the fortress and the port down on the right hand side.

-The highway then descends and underpasses the Old National Road through a short tunnel. Please memorise your car's current mileage.

-1.9 kms after the tunnel there is a BP gas station on the right hand side. Then follows a right-hand bend.

-The highway ascends for some meters and then enters a passage between the rocks, descending in a left-hand bend. As soon as the passage opens there is 3.6 kms after the tunnel on the right hand side the highway exit to Gerani, just before a right-hand bend. Here you leave the highway and underpass it to the left.

-As soon as you are at the entrance to the country road to Gerani, please reset the trip counter.

-After you have set the trip counter to zero, do not touch it anymore. Just watch it.

-All data on distances and kilometers hereafter refer to this place as the zero point.

When coming to Gerani for the very first time it is better to drive round the village than to cross it.

-Immediately behind a right-hand bend, turn left at 0.5 kms from the zero point towards "Fratz. Metohia". At 0.9 kms from the zero point turn left towards "Fratz. Metohia" another time, and at 1.2 kms from the zero point for the third time.

-The road winds through wild gardens and olive groves, and mainly in springtime there is a profusion of blossom of all colours. But watch out: There are some potholes as well.

-At 1.8 kms from the zero point turn RIGHT towards "Fratz. Metohia", and at 2.4 kms from the zero point again right - but this time NOT towards "Fratz. Metohia"!

-At 2.7 kms from the zero point you will arrive to a T-junction above the village. Left hand by the corner there is a telephone cabin. Please memorise this one: It will be important for the way back (unless you plan to cross the village).

-Please turn left at the telephone cabin and continue around some bends. The road then winds up a hill.

-At 3.5 kms from the zero point branch off leftwards, just before the top of the hill. The path continues on gravel immediately left-hand again and then in front of the house (there is only one) right-hand. At 3.8 kms from the zero point you will find yourself in front of the Gerani Villas' gate.

ARRIVAL FROM CHANIA AIRPORT

-You leave the airport range, pass the gas station and after approx. 300 meters turn left. After another 1,700 meters turn right and on the road to Hania pass the villages of Aroni and Pithari.

-By the exit of Pithari, the road ascends and then forks. Here you leave the road to Hania and take the left branch to Souda and Rethymnon.

-After a short way the view opens down to the bay. The road winds down the slope and finally arrives few meters above sea level.

-You enter Souda and continue to the traffic lights. Here you first turn right, and after a short distance turn left to enter the wide road to the highway.

-After crossing under the highway, turn left and enter the highway in the direction of Rethymnon. The highway then changes into a two-lane motorway.

-The highway section between Georgioupolis and the bridge over the Petres river is rather flat and straight. Then there are some bends and hills, and afterwards a wide left-hand bend around a bay.

-The highway then ascends dead straight and on the top of that hill turns right. It descends rightwards, and just there in the corner is the exit to Gerani.

-As soon as you are at the entrance to the country road to Gerani, please reset the trip counter.

CANCELLATION FEES

The following charges apply in case of a cancellation:

Cancellations from 30 days to 16 days before arrival 50% from the total amount

Cancellations from 15 days to 8 days before arrival 75% from the total amount

Cancellations from 7 days to 1 day before arrival 100% from the total amount

For no show customers we charge 100 % of the total amount.

LIABILITY

All tenants are strongly recommended to take out their own travel and health insurance covering all members of their party. We regret that we are unable to accept any responsibility towards any insurance claims made by tenants for whatever cause. We do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for personal injury, accidents, loss, theft or damage to persons or personal effects, however caused.

We are not responsible for the loss of any personal objects of the tenants that will be left at the property after departure, even if we will try to find any forgotten objects.

In the event that our property suffers from water and electricity shortages and the property can be cut off without prior notice for varying periods of time, then the tenant should be patient as these situations are out of our control, even if we will do everything possible to avoid them.

CANCELLATION DUE TO MAJOR FORCE

We are not liable for any failure or delay in the performance of our obligations hereunder on account of Major Force i.e. strikes, shortages, riots, insurrection, fires, flood, storm, explosions, acts of God, war, governmental action, labor conditions, earthquakes or any other cause which is beyond the reasonable control. We have the right to cancel any booking in case that any of the previous mentioned happens. In such case the whole amount of rental will be refunded to the tenant.

TENANT LIABILITY

The tenant is responsible to ensure that the property is left in a reasonable condition of cleanliness and in the same condition of repair as upon arrival. Any excessive cleaning, loss or damage to the property, debts or charges incurred will be itemized and charged to the tenant. Tenants are required to act in a responsible manner at all times, and to act with respect towards other guests, neighbors and our staff. They must also not transfer furniture or objects without informing the property owner first. We reserve the absolute right to require any individual to vacate a property for disruptive behavior, in which case there would be no refund of any rental payment.

The tenant is hold responsible to pay for any damage caused or any loss during his stay at the property, noted after his check out, which has not been reported to us prior to his departure. Tenants agree that the terms herein are binding on them, their family members, heirs, successors, assigns, dependents and/or minors accompanying them and their legal representatives.

The tenant is responsible to ensure that children are not left unsupervised at any time during their stay in the accommodation and take extra care with balconies, swimming pool and other places. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at any time and all tenants have to take all necessary measures for their personal safety during their stay.

NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS

The total number of guests staying in the property may not exceed the number of sleeping places specified in the promotional material or the number entered on the face of this contract. We reserve the right to refuse entry or evict the entire party if the number of persons occupying a property exceeds the number stipulated in the contract.

EXTRA CHARGES

Every extra charge must be paid locally to us by the end of the rental. All payments for the extra charges must be in the local currency.

LATE ARRIVAL / EARLY DEPARTURE

The tenant must inform us for any delay on the arrival or any early departure. No refunds will be made, if the tenant is unable to arrive on the expected day due to travel problems or in any case of early departure.

COMPLAINTS / PROBLEMS The tenant is responsible for informing us for any complaint or problem during his stay in our property and allow us a reasonable time to solve it during the rental period. Failure to do so will void any claim following the rental period.
