Location: Mykonos, the Cycladic Princess

DYO Villas are located in Aleomandra Ornou, one of the most exclusive and charming spots of Mykonos, on a four acres property, only 10 min drive away from the island’s airport and the cosmopolitan Chora of Mykonos.

The Concept: Aegean light & nature

Aegean lightis transparent, with a sharp optical clarity that frees the spirit; the surrounding nature, the sea, the sky and the barren land with its flora of aromatic herbs and plants awaken the senses. �

Aegean light and nature are the two elements that form the architectural concept of DYO Villas: every single corner of the interiors reveals a shade of natural light; every single spot of the villas opens up to magnificent views of the Aegean sea; sea breeze, blended with thyme and sage aromas, flows smoothly in the buildings bringing outdoor and indoor life into perfect harmony.�

Accommodation: Luxury- Style-Tradition

Villa 1, for up ��to 10 guests, expands on a multileveled area of 414 sq. m. total, of luxury and comfort.� It comprises of 3 bedrooms, in its main section, all with en suite bathrooms: a master bedroom with a King’s size bed, a bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with twin beds, a dining room catering for up to 8 persons seated, fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room area and an extra bathroom for guests. The roofed, airy veranda, by the pool, just outside the dining room, is one of the most beautiful outdoor areas of Villa 1. Furnished with an impressive, round, marble table and armchairs along with stone benches with cushions, this veranda will simply “steal the guests’ heart”, especially the moment the sun sets into the sea, behind Delos. The open BBQ and a wood fire oven will add distinct flavor to the guests’ stay.

Villa 1’s “surprise spot”: White washed interior stairs lead to a lower level, where a beautiful apartment pops up …like a well-hidden treasure! This space of unique character and comfort expands on two levels and can host up to 4 people. �Two, geniusly designed bedroom spaces (one with Super King’s size bed and one with twin beds); one �bathroom; a kitchenette and the comfortable living room with dining area along with an open fire, all features turn this place into the most desired spot of Villa 1! Bathed in light, it opens up to the sea with breathtaking views and a secluded veranda for great summer evenings.

Villa 1’s three autonomous entrances to the building offer the guests a feeling of independence and privacy, during their stay.

Villa 2,located, impressively, by the main gate of the DYO Villas property, it brings to mind a sculpted jewel, glimmering under the sun, against the shades of blue of the Aegean sky and sea. Embellished with traditional dovecotes on top, made of local slate, the top of the building resembles fine, folk embroidery.

Villa 2expands on a total of 240 sq. m., in several levels and hosts, comfortably, up to 4 guests. It comprises of 2 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms (one with double and one with twin beds), a dining room for up to 10 persons seated, fully equipped kitchen, living room with an open fire, an extra bathroom for guests and two separate entrances to the building.

Its attractive veranda, surrounded by breathtaking views and equipped with an open BBQ, will definitely give rise to big, long, evening feasts around the wooden table!

Features & Facilities: Perfecting the stay

Interior design

DYO Villas interior decorative elements, of local stone, marble and wood highlight the physicality of the matter so beautifully that the guest immediately gives in to a warm, earthy feeling of belonging. Pieces of furniture custom made by local carpenters, wooden ceilings decorated with trunks of chestnut trees, glass, brass and ceramic objects, wooden and marble floors sculpted by traditional sculptors of the neighboring Tinos Island, are some of the features that were meticulously and imaginatively put together adding unique comfort and character to the guest’s stay. ���

The swimming pool �

The large seawater swimming pool, charmingly located on the edge of the cliff, generates a feeling of floating “in and above” the endless blue of the Aegean. With a shallow, child welcoming section, the pool can offer unique moments of family fun during the day, refreshing dives while lazing in the sun and great evenings under the starry skies.

Landscaping

The DYO Villas property, located on top of a cliff, on a typical Aegean island barren land, has been beautifully landscaped with small, serpentine, stone paved paths that lead to scattered rare cacti species gardens, pass by seasonal vegetable gardens and several, open air sitting areas, with stone benches that create little oases of socializing and relaxing throughout the day and night.

Strolling around as the evening falls is sense awakening, as the land is still warm and sea breeze blends with herbs and aromatics.�

A downhill, paved path leading to the beach tempts, those that seek for small adventures, with a rewarding dive in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.�

Holy Apostles: The sacred spot

The small, whitewashed church of Holy Apostles, traditional feature in all Cycladic islands, stands on the top part of the property is the perfect spot for a wedding or christening ceremony and ideal escape for a moment of self-reflection, gazing at the sacred island of Delos.

Miscellaneous

A series of well designed facilities such as separate staff residence, along with utility room for laundry and pressing, spacious parking space allow for guests’ absolute privacy, relaxation and comfort throughout their holiday escape.
