6 individually designed and appointed en-suite bedrooms and suites, offering 5 star luxuries and service. The free standing thatched cottage forms the 7^th bedroom and is ideal for honeymooners or guests seeking additional privacy. All the bathrooms in the Suites and in the cottage have a separate bath & shower, the loft rooms have free standing bathtubs with shower overhead. all our bathrooms have two basins, underfloor heating, two heated towel rails and are equipped with all amenities. The cottage offers a jetbath. All rooms offer direct dial telephones, i-pod docking stations, safes, bathrobes, tea & coffee trays, aircon & heating and hairdryers, the cottage offers a private TV & minibar.

We believe that luxury comes with space and have therefore created a large veranda for al fresco dining, two dining areas, a library and tea lounge, a TV lounge with international channels, two conservatories, extensive landscaped gardens and a 15 meter pool with a braai, ensuring a high level of privacy and comfort. A spa room is available for various treatments.

Directions from Cape Town

From Cape Town, take the N1 towards Paarl.

Take exit 47 marked R44 Stellenbosch/Wellington and turn left towards Wellington.

Keep on straight (from here, Wellington is approximately 25 kilometres); on your way you cross a four-way stop and two sets of traffic lights until you reach a large junction with traffic lights (new Checkers shopping centre in front of you). Turn left towards Wellington.

After a few hundred metres you will reach more traffic lights with a large white church on the left (the Moeder Kerk). Turn right into Church Street/Kerk Straat (signs for Bains Kloof).

Continue on through Wellington towards the mountains (Bains Kloof). As you leave the town, the road climbs and bends to the right. You will see Bovlei Winery, a cream building on your right.

Immediately after this you will reach a sign marked Hill Road on your left. Take this road and then turn immediately right (follow the signs for Doolhof Wine Estate).

You will reach a T-junction. Turn right again. The road soon becomes a gravel road. Keep straight on to the end (approx. 4 km), you will pass through Welvanpas and eventually come to double gates with the Doolhof D.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

CHILDREN

We welcome children over the age of 12 years old. They will be required to take their own room at the applicable room rate and this is limited to 2 children. If the entire house is booked for exclusive use, children of all ages are welcome.

THIRD PERSONS

None of our rooms is able to accommodate more than 2 guests.

TOUR GUIDES

Should guides be required to stay at the properties they will be required to pay the applicable room rate and this is subject to availability.

PETS

Due to hygienic reasons and allergic reactions of other guests, pets are not allowed anywhere in the Country House. Guests who choose to ignore this policy will be charged the fee of a professional cleaning service.

ARRIVAL/ DEPARTURE

We invite our guests to arrive early, however cannot guarantee that the room will be ready. Our check-in time is from 14h00, and check out time by 11h00.

GENERAL CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations deemed valid only if received in writing.Please ensure that you get a response acknowledging your cancellation. Refunds of monies paid for bookings are at the discretion of Management and are dependent on ability to re-sell the rooms.
Receipt of a signed confirmation letter, a deposit or credit card number assumes unconditional agreement of these terms.

In the event of a premature departure, we may charge for the full extent of stay that was booked and confirmed.

We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances

CANCELLATION FEES (one to four rooms)

Within 30 days prior to arrival we charge 25%, within 14 days 50 % and within 7 days or "No Show" 100 % of the total accommodation amount.

GROUP CANCELLATION FEES (from five rooms)

Within 90 days prior arrival we charge 25%, within 60 days 50 % and within 30 days or "No Show" 100 % of the total accommodation amoun
