The same nostalgic theme of the exterior permeates the interior which consists of a study, two bedrooms, one bathroom and a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the first floor, as well as two additional bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor. Also on the ground floor is the living room adorned with a central fireplace and two dining spaces one of which overlooking the 120m2 swimming pool, all supported by a fully equipped kitchen. The estate can accommodate up to 9 people and to ensure their privacy, the staff resides discreetly in a separate building within the estate.

It is the perfect destination for families that seek a private location where kids can play in a natural yet protected and safe environment. The garden has been designed in such a way as to provide a beautiful relaxing atmosphere for a carefree vacation. The blue color of the sky reflecting on the swimming pool comes in contrast with the evergreen of the large open lawn areas surrounding the villa. This serene painting also includes a small chapel dedicated to St. Fanourios, surrounded by century old olive trees, willow trees and blooming roses. In fact there are several sitting spots around the house fully equipped with outdoor furniture, including a gazebo where one can let go of worries and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.� While exploring the gardens, populated by indigenous plants and flowers setting up a colourful pallet, guests are also welcome to taste over twenty different fruits and vegetables such as strawberries, peaches and apricots depending on the season, all produced within the estate. Close to the house, mostly masked from common sight by jasmine and wisteria bushes, is the basketball/tennis court, in case someone prefers to mix relaxation with some sports activity. Finally, for those renting a car, two parking spots are available in the underground garage.

Local Amenities and Activities

The quiet beach of Agia Marina only 700m from the villa is part of the beautiful continuous sandy coast of western Peloponnesus also including the blue flag beaches of Kourouta and Skafidia, easily accessible by car within 10 minutes. The world renowned site of ancient Olympia characterizing the area is only a 30 minutes drive while the medieval castle and spa facilities of Killini, the NATURA protected Lake of Kaiafas or the touristic port of Katakolo can also be reached by car within 40 minutes and are highly recommended for visiting. Additionally, the nearby Palouki marina can be a base for people who wish to rent a boat to discover the beautiful coastline of Peloponnese and the Ionian islands. While daily provisions and freshly baked bread can be acquired from the mini market and bakery of Douneika Village within walking distance, the towns of Amaliada and Pyrgos with fully equipped markets can easily be reached by car within 10 and 15 minutes respectively.

Driving directions (from airport or sea port)

From Athens, you follow the national highway to Korinthos E94. After 105 klm you turn right 8A towards Patra and then you follow the national highway to Pirgos E55. After 81 km, you turn right to Douneika Village. Just before Douneika, you should head towards the Saint Marina Beach. Just after the railway, you have reached the Ionion Villa.
