The travel lasts two hours and is done by ferries which connect the Rafina Port located 20 km north from the Athens city centre with Gavrio Port of Andros Island. In summer period usually scheduled up to eight routes daily from Rafina to Andros and vice versa. There are daily ferries departing among 0700 to 0745 from Rafina port but please check with port authorities or ferry agents for the exact departure time before your departure date. During summer there are more ferry routes available throughout the day. You can reach Rafina Port either by private car, taxi or bus. Rafina Port is 10 Km north from El. Venizelos airport. Car rental or taxi is the best way to travel from the airport to Rafina port.All ferries offer first class or second class passenger tickets, as well as car transportation services. Each ferry company has its own price list with minor differences. Please check with the ferry agencies for the details. If you may afford, you can use third party helicopter services from the airport to the island and vice versa.
