Equipped with essential conveniences. Including a 4 ring gas cooker with oven and grill, all tableware, cooking utensils and cutlery, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave and toaster, fridge, bed linen, pillows, continental quilts.

Local Amenities and Activities

Gite Les Granges is in the heart of the beautiful limousin countryside, yet only a short walk to the local village of St Dizier Leyrenne with its medieval church, small supermarkey with post office and bakery, pharmacy, restaurant and cafe/bar, and also a picturesque lake with picnic areas, childrens playground and a tennis club. 

A 10 minute drive away is the medieval town of Bourganeuf, with a church and castle originally founded by the Templar Knights in the 12th century.

There are also many shops, cafes, restaurants and bars along with a local procuce market outside the castle grounds, plus a very informative tourist office and a fascinating museum of hydro electricity.

Just south of Bourganeuf is the Regional Nature Park for outdoor-pursuits, and the magnificent lake Vassiviere ideal for swimming and water-sports.

Approximately 30 minutes north is Les Loups de Chabrieres (wolf sanctuary) in Monts de Gueret and Le Labyrinthe Geant, which is reputed to be the worlds largest maze. .
