Chloraka

Chloraka is a nice village near the sea. The area has grown in popularity in recent years and many properties have been built there as the area offers such fantastic views.
A well known landmark in Chloraka is the shipwreck . Back in March 1998, heavy seas caused the Honduran-flagged M/V Demetrios II into some rocks in the shallow waters just off the coast near Paphos Lighthouse, close to Chloraka Village. The ship was en route from Greece to Syria and was carrying a cargo of timber.

Luckily the crew of eight men – four Greeks, two Pakistanis and two Syrians were all airlifted to safety by a British Military helicopter.
The vessel was left stranded on rocks near the Paphos lighthouse, where it remains to this day.

The area of Chloraka has enough shops, restaurants and banks to fulfill the needs of locals and visitors. It is a reasonable distance to Paphos Airport and other major towns such as Coral Bay and Kato Paphos.

The St. George's Church, the historic Boat and Tomb of the Kings are three main historical landmarks of the area of Chloraka . This area is surrounded by rolling hills, the Mediterranean sea and its magnificent sunsets. Its a short drive from away from the mainstream tourism making this location just perfect for those seeking rest and relaxation on the coast.

Driving directions (from airport or sea port)

From the airport follow the exit road until you reach a T Junctio

Take the B6 towards Paphos this takes you through Geroskipou village.

You will reach a large roundabout with Debenhams and Next on the right hand side

Turn left onto a dual carriageway. At the next roundabout turn right (3^rd exit)

Continue on this road for approximately 10km pass all traffic lights. Do not turn off.

You will pass shopping areas on the Tomb of the Kings road and the sea will be on the left hand side. This road leads to CoralBay

You will pass Venus Beach Hotel on left and after that a restaurant Aliceland

In 1Km you will see Chris Kiosk on right and 200 metres later prepare to turn left at the Latin Parish Hall (Before the Pentaras Restaurant)

Turn left between the Latin Parish Hall and Pentaras Restaurant and head down towards the sea for approx half one Km. This Is Dimma Road.

Just before the sea you will see Aristo Chloraka Village 1 on your left, Turn into this private road and you will see OCEANA immediately on the LEFT number 1.
