New Colorful Studio In Heraklion Crete

Newly built studio in the area of Karteros, with wonderful view of mountain and Sea (just opposite Dia Island), in a peaceful environment, inside an olive grove, in walking distance from the beach. It is ideal to explore the island and relax.
The Space
The studio is placed in a traditional Cretan Olive grove in Karteros. Karteros has to offer unique landscape, just outside of Heraklion city. You can visit all the museums and antiquities, return home to relax, and just walk to the beach. Or you can endulge yourselves to exploring the nearby Gorge, or relax at night and have a BBQ. Listening only the night...The studio sleeps comfortably 4 people in one real double bed and in one double futon bed.
Guest Access
Easy access, 5 minutes from the airport, 10 from heraklion port, practically next to national road entry exit to Chania and Lasithi (west and east crete). Numerous beaches all around. You have your own garden and shared secured parking space, also there is a shared BBQ area.
Interaction with Guests
We live in a house just above the studio, having a large garden to separate us, with fence. Therefore you maintain your privacy and comfort, yet we are there if you need anything, to help or provide (from advice or a cup of coffee...). We cultivate some vegetables to taste, and there is a large fig tree to try as many figs you wish.
The Neighborhood
The quiet and tranquility is the factor that makes Karteros unique. Plus if you want noise and action you are a short drive from it (Heraklion 7 minutes drive, Hersonissos 15 min. drive, Malia 20 minutes drive etc.). Lots of nice sandy beaches, with sun beds and umbrellas are all around, to enjoy the sea with children or without.
Getting around
Public transport is close by (the bus stop is 20 meters away) and there is twice a day a bus passing. The area is not of heavy traffic rather scarce traffic therefore no frequent public transport, yet there is one if this helps. We strongly suggest to rent a car to enjoy the island to maximum.
Other Things to Note
The studio is brand new, all furnished with IKEA furniture, quality electrical equipment, happy and colorful, pet friendly if you have your favorite pet with you. Ideal for value for money long term vacations for families or couples.

Accommodation & Outdoor Amenities
The place is ideal for relaxation and enjoy the Cretan summer.
You are located in Karteros, minutes from beaches that you can find beach bars, sunbeds, umbrellas (all are sandy and shallow beaches with warm water), if you like you can visit the Karteros gorge (if you like canyoning).
The area is very quiet, relaxed, yet very close to the centre of the city where you can go to bars, restaurants, tavernas, shops and cafes.
The house is approx. 30 sq. meters, a studio with a double bed, a double sofa bed (sleeps easily 4 persons), fully equipped kitchen, with oven, utensils, pots and pans, cutlery, plates, toaster, coffee maker, fridge.
In the bathroom there is a shower cabin, warm water of course all day.
There is a shared garden in premises for kids to play, with olive trees, fig trees and flowers.
Also there is a shared BBQ area to have a BBQ if you wish, parking space, a terrace to enjoy the quiet and tranquillty of the area at night.
Also we have free wifi and internet access, TV, cd/dvd.
Local Amenities and Activities
You can go for swimming in the neaby beaches, they have sunbeds, umbrellas, watersports, beach bars and restaurants, all in walking distance, if you do not mind to walk 15-20 minutes.
You can go to Knossos and the archaeological museum of Crete, as well as the natural history

Airports / Sea Ports / Other Transport
Airport is very close that eases all transportation and expenses, so is the port. Also the studio is next to National road exits should you wish to go to an excursion
Just outside the sudio there is a bus stop to heraklion with routes twice a day.
Driving directions (from airport or sea port)
Exiting Heraklion airport you turn right on ikarou Str. You drive 1,5 Km, then you turn left on Karterou Str (in the corner you will see a shop with professional hotel equipment, kitchens etc). You pass Parktiker shop and continue towards your left in the next roundabout, beeing stil on Karterou Str. You stay on the road. You pass a crossroad where you will see a Lidl shop on your right, you still stay on the road keeping straight. After 2-3 KM you find some close curves on the road, and after a while you will see a Y intersection you go RIGHT. You pass under the national road (a small bridge), still keep straight, and after 1 km you will see another Y intersection where on your right there is a sign Prassas! The right road is incline and you take it. You go Right! After 20 meters you will see the outside door of the studio the garden door (a green garage door) and we will be waiting you! Welcome!
