There are 2 comfortable leather couches, a stereo unit,a 29'' satellite TV,a Playstation2,a fireplace and large coffee table in the lounge. The modern kitchen/dining area is fully equipped including a dishwasher, ceramic hob and built in oven, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave oven, and locally made, wooden dining table and chairs which seat 6. Double doors open onto the pool terrace (with sea views), and a covered patio area which has a table and chairs and a stoned Barbeque close to it. The kitchen also has a window which faces east. Just off the lounge area is a half bathroom with floor to ceiling beige tiles and a white washbasin, mirrored cabinet,a washing machine and a toilet. Next to the half bathroom is a bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 bedside table, and a wardrobe, and a window looking out to olive groves. Double doors open onto a balcony with views to the sea, conifers, date palms, bougainvillea and olive trees. At the first floor,the twin bedroom has 2 single beds, 1 bedside table with a reading lamp, and a wardrobe. The south facing window looks out over olive groves to Drapanos Hill, and double doors open onto a balcony with views to the sea, conifers, date palms, bougainvillea and olive trees. The main bedroom has a large double sleigh bed, dressing table, large mirror and stool, 2 bedside tables with reading lamps, and a large wardrobe, and double doors leading to a balcony with views to the sea.Just next to the double bedroom is the full bathroom with floor to ceiling beige tiles. The white bathroom suite comprises a full bath with shower attachment, wash basin, mirrored cabinet and a toilet.The first floor has a large terrace/balcony which has amazing panoramic views of the sea and the White Mountains, and is the best place from which to watch the glorious sunsets.

Local Amenities and Activities

Plaka is a tiny, laid-back, hillside village set on the hill directly above the popular bay of Almirida. The views of Souda Bay from this area are second to none. The community has a friendly and truly international flavour, as it has become the home of many people from abroad.

The village is approximately 22 kilometers from Chania, in Chania Prefecture.
It is located just above from Almirida Beach and the neighbouring villages Kambia, Kokkino Horio, Kalives and Gavalohori are all just a few minutes drive.

At the small village square there are a few traditional taverns, minimarkets and coffee shops, where you can enjoy the village atmosphere as the friendly locals go about their business in typical laid- back fashion.

Almirida has a longbeach that is popular with families. Wind surfers, kayaks, paddle boats and beach chairs can be rented on the beach. There are many hotels,car and bike rentals, rental rooms, taverns, bars, snack and cafe bars, gift shops,bank machines, grocery stores and bakeries, all of which are open late into the night in the tourist season.
