FARMHOUSE sleeps 6. A tastefully renovated typical Breton farm house with an original stone fire place. On the ground floor is an extremely spacious, comfortable beamed lounge with open plan Dining area and fully fitted kitchen. A feature beech staircase leads to the first floor and a large double bedroom with exposed beams and French window providing extensive views of the lake. A further two twin rooms and house bathroom with shower over. This cottage also enjoys oil fired central heating. Each cottage is equipped to a very high standard. Ground floor layouts are open plan in the traditional Breton style. Roof beams, trusses and many of the original stone walls are exposed throughout. Properties enjoy private south facing gardens with views across the lake, BBQ`s and Garden furniture. The kitchens are well equipped including full sized cooker, washing machine, fridge, microwave and toaster, etc. Heating if required is provided by wood-burning stoves in the lounges and electric wall heaters. Furnishings are comfortable and all bedrooms are carpeted. Each property contains an ample supply of books, games and suggested excursions near and far. Lounges have VCR and DVD. Externally the cottages share the 30ft x 20 ft solar heated swimming pool (now fenced and alarmed) with sun-trap patio equipped with pool-side furniture. The gardens surrounding the properties are attractive and well stocked, with the added interest of an original Breton bread oven. The extensive grounds provide ample space for the more boisterous activities (climbing frame, football goal badminton net etc.)Whilst retaining sufficient space for quiet relaxation and contemplation. Guest can enjoy a quiet game of boules, try their luck fishing in the lake (reached directly from our grounds) or take a gentle stroll round the lake. For our younger guests the lake also has a small beach and children’s` play area. The local village with shop, bar and excellent restaurants is only a 15 minute lake-side walk away. More extensive shopping facilities, lively restaurants etc. are available in Guemene (7Kms) and Rostrenen (12 kms) Prices include all linen (except personal towels) gas, water and electricity.

Local Amenities and Activities

The local village, with restaurants, bars and a boulangerie is a 15 minute lake side strolls away. The adjoining Lake has a small beach, lake side bar, 2 children's play areas and a selection of wild fowl. It is also well stocked with Carp, Tench, Pike, and Wild Trout amongst others and can be fished via a daily permit. Situated right at the heart of rural Brittany, Kerhotten provides a wonderful base to explore this enchanting area of France at any time of year Driving is a pleasure on wonderful quiet roads which wind through beautiful tree lined valleys and picturesque villages. This is a fantastic area for cycling, rambling and bird watching It is an artists paradise with wonderful light and a picture at every turning. Locally we can offer Horse-riding, Quad Biking, and Golf. The famous Lac de Guerledan with all manner of water sports and boat trips is 20 minutes away. The Nantes Brest canal is 15 minutes drive. The picturesque Guld de Morbihan is than an hour away, as are the historic towns of Anray, Vannes, Quimper and Josselin. On site we have a superb swimming pool, with large patio area. Boules court, Children’s playing field, Cycles and in the cottages a selection of Books Games and recommendations things to see and do
