Swimming pool measures 8 by 4 metres with depths of 1.00 to 1.73 (built in 2009), which users state of the art environment friendly methods for cleaning the water, .with active chlorine Acute and only 8%

The pool water gathered by overflowing in separate tank, where it is oxygenated and cleaned, and then returns to the pool from the pool's floor.

The villa is very quiet in the forest, in a private area of 3500sq. metres,planted with trees, and close to the sea.
Within walking distance approximately 60m, there is a small farm with animals like ducks, chickens and pheasants. You can visit this farm if you like, and see the animals up close.

Local Amenities and Activities

Kefalonia is a beautiful island full of opposites in nature and Fiskardo is the most traditional area of Greece. All the buildings in the area are Enetican.

The climate of Kefalonia from the period of May till October is mild, with sunny weather during the day and chilly weather at night and the temperature reaches at average 25 degrees of Celsius.

There are many activities that you can enjoy such as : running, walking, swimming, water sports etc

Airports / Sea Ports / Other Transport

From Kefalonia airport, to villa at Markoulata, the distance is 46 km to the North.

From the city of Argostoli (the island's capital city), the distance is 39km.

During the summer, there are direct flights to Kefalonia from UK airports. The flight duration is approximately 3 hours. At the airport, you can rent a car from one of the 3 car rental companies than have offices there.
There are more rental companies close to the villa at Fiskardo and there are more than 30 of them all over the Island. So there is practically no way not to get a car if you want to.

There are also ferries to the ports of Fiskardo, Sami and Poros (areas ta Kefalonia), on regular basis about 12 times per day, from the ports of Patra, Killini (ports on mainland Greece) and Lefkada (island next to Kefalonia connected by undersea tunnel to mainland Greece) .

Driving directions (from airport or sea port)

1. HOW YOU WILL ARRIVE AT THE VILLA

The distance to the villa from the airport is 46 km, 38*25’33’’ N, 20*33’44’’ E. Firstly, you drive at the direction of Argostoli and as soon as you pass the city, you follow the signs north to Fiskardo. As soon as you pass the village Vasilikades and you reach the village Konidarata, always driving at the central road, you will see an EKO gas station and after 500 meters you will see a sign which writes “Touliata 4, Markoulata 3, Vigkli 4”. At the exact position of this sign, you will turn slightly left and in 900 meters right exactly at the sign of Markoulata, in your right, you will find Villa Spyros. 3. NEAR THE VILLA

The nearest beach, Agia Ierousalim, is 3 km away from the villa.

You can find supermarkets at the village of Vasilikades which is 3 km away, at the village Magganos which is also 3 km away and at the village Konidarata which is 1 km away. In case of emergency, the nearest doctor is at the village of Vasilikades, tel. +302674051203, ,+306976534165 ,+306972123429 or also 166. You can find many doctors and at Fiskardo which is 6,5 km away from the villa.

For meal or lunch, there are many taverns all over the area with the most of them at Fiskardo and Vasilikades. If you are searching for genuine and pure food all over Kefalonia, your best choices are a. the tavern of MAKIS at Vasilikades, about 3 km and b. the tavern HERSONAS at Troyianata near Agios Gerasimos, about 42 km.

4. STAYING AT THE VILLA

You are kindly requested to inform us the exact hours that you want the villa to be cleaned every Wednesday and Sunday. The most appropriate and convenient time for us is between 10:00 and 13:00 in the morning ( the name of the lady is Mrs. Nouria). The maintenance of the pool will be done almost every day at about 08:30 in the morning without disturbing you at all. Finally, 3-4 evenings per week and only for a few minutes, a person (Mr. George or Mr. Spyros) will come entering from another entrance of the field, again without disturbing you at all, for the care of the animals at the farm.

We remind you to be aware of the pool! The depth starts from 1 meter and reaches up to 1,73 meters, which means NO DIVING TO THE POOL BY JUMPING FROM THE GROUND, otherwise you might get injured.

Our holiday in Kefalonia has been absolutely wonderful. Thank you very much for all your kindness, you made us feel so welcome. Your lovely villa was perfect for the needs of our family. Everything was spotlessly clean (please pass our thanks to Nuria for the excellent job she does) and we had everything we needed for a very comfortable holiday. We did not expect to receive so much delicious food and this special service was really appreciated. Your swimming pool has been enjoyed by all the family – this has been the best holiday ever.

Thank you, thank you and thank you again! We had the most wonderful holiday at your lovely villa made very special by your generosity to us at all times.
