This beautiful Mediterranean home built in the late 19th century belonged to a family originating from the peninsula Peljesac. Through the years, this ancient house was in property of the traditional captains „di lungo corso “, that spent they life traveling around the world but they were always eager to return “to their peaceful harbor,” that is this beautiful Mediterranean stone house. This “peaceful harbor” was not always so peaceful and quiet, and the monumental walls of this house witnessed many moments of turbulent history that took place in these areas. The beauty of this house is witnessed by many famous names that have spent longer or shorter periods of time in the embrace of Captain’s palace; some of them are the English King Edward and Mrs. Simpson, Mr. Fizory Mclean, Mr. Franjo Tudjman, many artists such as Miroslav Krleza, Edo Murtic, Juraj Kastelan etc.

The house consists of three floors that are ground floor, first floor and attic. It is located on a large property with gardens, pool and courtyards. From the sea and a private sandy beach the centuries old volt leads you into this wonderful estate interwoven with history and testifying with its every detail about the beautiful life along the coast. Entering through this volt an authentic ancient empire consisting of many columns, many original stone details of this region, beautiful Mediterranean flowers and gardens with Mediterranean fruits opens in front of you. In front of the villa there is the first court yard of Captain’s palace, which is equipped with tables and comfortable chairs where you can find much needed and desired moments of relaxation accompanied by the sounds of sea waves that are playing in the gravel of its beaches. From the front court yard a door leads you to the ground floor of this beautiful villa – Captain’s palace, where right in front of you there is a spacious dining room with dining table, TV lounge, located on the right side of dining area and saloon intended for daily resting, located on the left side of dining area. The whole space is furnished up to smallest detail and is completely designed to inspire your every moment spent here. The ground floor also has a modern, fully equipped bathroom and a modern fully equipped kitchen which has a separate exit to another court yard with a century-old dining table. From ground floor area a stairs lead you to the first floor and introduce you to a spacious central hall, perfect for socializing but also equipped with a rich selection of foreign and home literature. On the first floor, perfect positions have found 3 spacious double bed bedrooms. One of the rooms is a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a separate modern bathroom, second bedroom also has a large double bed, while the third bedroom has two twin beds and a canopy bed that gives this room a special charm. Each room offers a very luxurious ambiance but also extraordinary views of the sea, of the archipelago of islands that stretches on the horizon and of the island of Korcula. Every detail is organized and elected with a lot of attention and love, resulting in a pleasant and a perfect relaxing ambience. On the third floor of the villa – Captain’s palace there is a romantic residence which extends over the entire first floor and contains a large double bed, living area with sofa and chairs for relaxing or reading and a modern bathroom. A romantic component of this part of Villa is created by the high floor wooden beams. This exact part of villa will show you the real face of romance accompanied by many sunrises and sunsets and by beautiful views of the nearby island reachable through every window of the villa.

Captain’s palace has beautiful interiors and offers a spectacular exterior of which is filled with gardens, century-old dining table, and ancient columns wrapped with variety of flowers and outdoor grill that will make you discover the beauty of Dalmatian cuisine. Villa is surrounded by green areas and filled with organically grown fruits and vegetables and spacious gardens. The most attractive part of the whole estate is certainly pool of enviable size and beautiful area around the pool intended for your perfect getaway.
