INTERIOR
Michaels Country Cottage was built more than 100 years ago and is now in the care of the owner’s grandson. The cosy sitting room has built in seating which can be used as a third small bed if required and has one wall restored to the original stone.  A w/c shower room has been added to this ground floor area, to one side of the sitting room
Wooden stairs lead from the sitting room to the bedroom which has twin beds set together to make a double bed.  It is light and airy with open beamed ceilings and pine wood floors and has a small balcony from which to enjoy the amazing views.
The small kitchen/dining room has a separate entrance with a lovely breakfast table surrounded by windows. The small kitchenette is equipped for simple holiday meals and still has the original bread oven (now for decoration only).

EXTERIOR
The cottage has large outdoor terraces from which to enjoy both sun and shade throughout the day. The built-in BBQ/outdoor kitchen is set next to the main house which is surrounded by cypress trees through which there is a convenient path leading to the main Stafilos road.  The private pool sits just below the cottage.

SURROUNDINGS
Situated on the hilltop above Stafilos Bay, Michaels Country Cottage is conveniently located within walking distance of beaches and tavernas.  The driveway from the cottage leads to the main road down to the beaches of Stafilos and Velanio - about a 10 minute walk downhill.  A small path starting behind the cottage leads around to the bus stop on the main road to Skopelos Town.  There are two restaurants nearby and a small mini market approximately 20 minutes walk away (mid and high season only).  Skopelos town is approximately 4.5km away and can be reached on foot in around 50 minutes along the old Stafilos road.

SUITABILITY
Couples wanting a romantic break will enjoy this quiet cottage which, although being set amongst the trees in a peaceful area, is not too far from Skopelos town and its amenities. The third small bed in the sitting room is ideal for a couple with a small child. People with walking difficulties or the unfit might find walking the steep uphill driveway challenging. In these cases, a hire car is highly recommended.

Please note** there is no local taxi service to this house due to the narrow, steep driveway. A mandatory escorted transfer fee will apply to all bookings not wishing to hire a car.
