The Region The chateau is 18th century sat on eight hectres of land on the crest of a hill�overlooking a valley of �vines, fields of crops, a lake and�green pastures.�The�ruined chateau�was renovated by a Scottish couple in 1998. The chateau�became a family run chambre d'h�te until 2004 Situated in the South West of France, just a stone's throw away from the world renowned vineyards of Saint Emilion and Pomerol, settled amongst the rolling valleys of the Dordogne, Chateau de Gensac is the perfect ba diversity of its landscapes and the warm, welcoming nature of its population Whilst the area is primarily famed for the deep, full bodied red wines produced here, its reputation has also been built from its captivating history, its wonderful food, the region and the wine.
